Young Investigator's Competition

     This annual competition is for young investigators involved in oral/dental research. Deadline for submission is MARCH 17, 2005.

     The competition includes two categories:

     A. Predoctoral students: Any DDS student or college student in the greater Chicago area is eligible to apply.

     B. Postdoctoral and Graduate students: Any postdoctoral or graduate student (MS or PhD candidate) or those who completed their DDS or graduate programs within two years preceding the competition date are eligible to apply.

Awards

     Top ranking submissions in each category will be invited to give a 20 minute oral presentation on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and will be awarded a monetary prize and certificate.

Entry

     A one page abstract stating:

1. the title
2. the applicant's name
3. institutional affiliation
4. research objective
5. methods
6. results and conclusions

     Please also state which category in which you wish to compete, Predoctoral or Postdoctoral/Graduate Student. Include a telephone number and an e-mail address where correspondence may reach you. Submit all abstracts via e-mail to:
